What We Do

Our Services

Three dentists, CEREC same-day crowns, 7am-to-7pm scheduling, and a fish tank in the lobby to keep your kids busy. Jones Family Dentistry has been taking care of Tempe families for over 30 years. Dental care designed around your life. Every stage of your smile, under one roof.

Preventive & General

Keep your smile healthy for life

Dental Exams & Professional Cleanings

Regular exams and cleanings are the foundation of a healthy smile. During your visit, your dentist will look at your teeth, gums, jaw, and bite in full detail. We use digital X-rays and intraoral cameras to catch issues early, before they become painful or expensive to treat.

Your hygienist will remove plaque and tartar buildup that brushing and flossing miss, then polish your teeth for a fresh, smooth finish. We recommend visits every six months to stay ahead of cavities, gum disease, and other problems.

Digital X-Rays

Our digital X-ray system uses up to 90% less radiation than traditional film X-rays, and images appear instantly on screen. This allows us to zoom in on problem areas and catch decay, bone loss, and infections early, often before you feel any symptoms.

Digital imaging also makes it easy to compare images over time to track your oral health progress. No chemical processing, no waiting.

Dental Sealants

Sealants are thin, protective coatings applied to the chewing surfaces of back teeth, the areas most prone to cavities. The procedure is quick, painless, and especially effective for children, though adults with deep grooves in their molars benefit too.

By filling in the natural pits and fissures where food particles collect, sealants create a smooth surface that's much easier to keep clean with regular brushing.

Fluoride Treatments

Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that strengthens tooth enamel and reverses the earliest stages of tooth decay. Professional fluoride treatments deliver a concentrated dose that's far more effective than what you get from toothpaste alone.

We recommend fluoride treatments for children, patients with a history of cavities, and anyone looking for an extra layer of protection against decay.

Custom Mouthguards & Nightguards

If you play contact sports or grind your teeth at night, a custom-fitted guard from our office provides far better comfort and protection than anything you can buy over the counter.

We take precise impressions to create a guard that fits your bite perfectly. Nightguards help relieve jaw pain, headaches, and tooth wear caused by bruxism (grinding and clenching).

Restorative

Rebuild and restore your smile

FEATURED

CEREC One-Visit Crowns

With CEREC technology, we can design, mill, and place a custom porcelain crown in a single appointment. No messy impressions, no temporary crowns, and no second visit. Using 3D modeling, the system creates a restoration that precisely matches your bite and the color of your surrounding teeth.

The milling process happens while you wait, and you walk out with a permanent, metal-free crown the same day. It's one of the biggest time-savers in modern dentistry, and the results are beautiful.

Root Canal Therapy

Root canal therapy saves a tooth that might otherwise need to be extracted. When the soft tissue (pulp) inside your tooth becomes infected or inflamed, we carefully remove it, clean and shape the canal, and seal it to prevent future infection.

Despite its reputation, modern root canal treatment is no more uncomfortable than getting a filling. We numb thoroughly and work carefully. The pain from the infected tooth is typically far worse than the treatment itself.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are the gold standard for permanent tooth replacement. A small titanium post is placed into the jawbone, where it fuses naturally over time. Once healed, a custom crown is attached that looks, feels, and functions like a natural tooth.

We work closely with your implant specialist to complete the final restoration. Once your implant is ready, we create and place your custom crown, carefully designed to blend naturally with your smile.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

We use composite resin fillings that match the natural color of your teeth. Unlike silver amalgam, composite fillings bond directly to the tooth structure. The result is a strong, virtually invisible repair that blends right in with your natural teeth.

The procedure requires less drilling than amalgam fillings, which means more of your natural tooth is preserved. Because composite bonds directly to the tooth, these fillings are durable, mercury-free, and look great.

Extractions

Sometimes a tooth is too damaged or decayed to save, or wisdom teeth need to come out. Our team performs gentle extractions with thorough numbing and sedation options to keep you comfortable throughout.

After extraction, we'll discuss replacement options like implants or bridges to maintain your bite and keep surrounding teeth from shifting.

Dentures

We offer full and partial dentures using modern, natural-looking materials that are comfortable and functional. Today's dentures are lighter, more realistic, and better-fitting than ever before.

We'll work with you to find the right fit for your lifestyle and budget, whether you need a few teeth replaced or a full arch. Implant-supported dentures are also available for patients who want maximum stability.

Fixed Bridges

A dental bridge "bridges" the gap left by one or more missing teeth. It consists of crowns placed on the teeth on either side of the gap with a false tooth (or teeth) in between. The result is a permanent, natural-looking restoration that restores your bite and your confidence.

Cosmetic

The smile you've always wanted

Porcelain Veneers

Veneers are thin, custom-made porcelain shells bonded to the front of your teeth. They can correct chips, cracks, gaps, severe discoloration, and minor misalignment, all in just two visits. Each veneer is handcrafted to match the shape and shade of your ideal smile.

Veneers are permanent and look like real teeth. They're one of the most popular cosmetic treatments we offer, and many patients say they're the best investment they've made in how they look and feel.

POPULAR

Clear Ortho Aligners

We use a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually straighten your teeth. No metal brackets, no wires. Each set of aligners is custom-made for your mouth and changed every one to two weeks as your teeth shift into their ideal position.

The aligners are virtually invisible, comfortable, and removable for eating and brushing. Most treatment plans take 12 to 18 months. It's a great option for adults and teens who want straighter teeth without the look and feel of traditional braces.

Teeth Whitening

Brighten your smile from the comfort of home with professional-strength whitening. Using digital impressions, we create custom-fit whitening trays designed specifically for your smile and provide professional-strength whitening gel for safe, convenient use at home.

Your custom trays can last for several years with proper care, making it easy and affordable to refresh your smile whenever you’d like. Inexpensive replacement whitening gel is available for purchase right in our office.

Wrinkle-Relaxing & Jaw Muscle Injections

We offer Jeuveau® injections to soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as relax overactive jaw muscles that can contribute to discomfort from clenching and grinding. Treatments are quick, minimally invasive, and customized to your individual needs and goals.

Comfort

Relax through any procedure

Sedation Dentistry (Nitrous Oxide)

If dental anxiety keeps you from getting the care you need, nitrous oxide (laughing gas) can help. It's one of the safest and most widely used sedation options in dentistry. You breathe it in through a small mask, feel a wave of calm relaxation, and remain fully conscious throughout the procedure.

The effects wear off within minutes after the mask is removed, so you can drive yourself home. There's no lingering grogginess. Many anxious patients tell us nitrous oxide completely changed their experience at the dentist.

Periodontal

Protect your gum health

Gum Disease Treatment

Gum disease is the leading cause of tooth loss. Early stages (gingivitis) are completely reversible with professional cleaning and improved home care. More advanced stages (periodontitis) require deeper treatment.

Our non-surgical periodontal treatments include deep cleanings (scaling and root planing), locally applied antibiotics, and prescription rinses. We'll work with you to develop a maintenance plan that keeps your gums healthy for the long term.

Warning signs include bleeding gums, redness, swelling, persistent bad breath, and gum recession. If you notice any of these, request a visit. Early treatment makes all the difference.
